Solid Steel in association with Serato (18th May) It's a lush start from Coldcut with music from Mizz Beats, Gang Colours, Incarnations and Wunder from '98. Then it's twisted beats from Venetian Snares and Dabrye feat Ta'Raach, before moving onto funk laced jazz from Yusef Lateef, reggae from Supercat and Alton Lewis, ending with soulful sounds from Curtis Mayfield.
Ital Tek supplies the guest mix this week and he's crafted a cyber-sonic creation of Footwork inspired selections and mutant bass workouts with tracks from the likes of Machinedrum, Evian Christ, ASAP Rocky and Lone, plus plenty of released and unreleased productions from the man himself.
Coldcut step back in the room to regain control with music from Amon Tobin ahead of his mammoth boxset release, beats from Super Smoky Soul and Madlib, plus journeys into Africa with Gyedu Blay-Ambolley and Zacks Nkosi.
Tonight DK and Coldcut will be in the studio, with Ital TeK bringing a guest mix. There'll also be a competition to win one of the new Amon Tobin boxsets - listen in between 7-9pm on Strongroom.fm.
